Aza‐Dipyrrinate Stabilized Compounds with a Low‐Valent Main Group Element

چکیده

The successful synthesis of germylenes, a-DPM(p-tol)GeCl (2) and a-DPM(Naph)GeX (tol=tolyl, Naph=naphthyl; X=Cl 6, N(TMS)2 7), demonstrates the ability aza-dipyrromethene (a-DPM) to stabilise compounds containing low-valent main group elements. Due presence a-DPM in these they exhibit a significantly red-shifted absorption maximum around 640 nm. More information on this study can be found Research Article by Selvarajan Nagendran et al.
